Our Charity Fundraiser for TRACKS Through Pastures

The Wellbeing Therapy Hut team had such an enjoyable evening on 13th September, as we raised money for TRACKS Through Pastures. It is a local charity in Kingswood, Surrey, that our director, Jess, is a trustee of. They do such wonderful things for children, young pople and adults in the local area, so we wanted to do a fun music bingo night to fund-raise and get them off to a good start.

The event was at Sutton & Epsom Rugby Club, which was decorated ready for bingo. We had an amazing spread of food, as well as photo booth and DJ, so we were set and ready to go. Rebecca Paul, the MP for Reigate and Banstead was also in attendance.

All about TRACKS

TRACKS Through Pastures is a Surrey-based charity that operates as the charitable arm of Kingswood Shetlands, a well-known provider of equine therapy and activities involving Shetland ponies. The charity's mission is to promote well-being and provide support to individuals of all ages through interactions with these gentle animals. By facilitating contact with Shetland ponies, TRACKS Through Pastures, one of the chosen charities of The Mayor of Reigate & Banstead, offers therapeutic benefits, particularly for children and adults with disabilities, mental health challenges, or those facing emotional difficulties. These unique experiences foster a sense of calm, confidence, and connection, enhancing the participants' mental and physical well-being.

In addition to its therapeutic work, TRACKS Through Pastures is dedicated to education and outreach, allowing the local community to engage with nature and animals in a meaningful way. The charity runs a variety of programs, including pony care workshops, assisted riding sessions, and special events aimed at bringing joy and healing through animal-assisted therapy. Through its collaboration with Kingswood Shetlands, the charity creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals can benefit from the calming presence of Shetland ponies, while also learning valuable life skills, building confidence, and experiencing the positive impact of nature.

With bingo, dancing, and a raffle, we managed to raise nearly £700 for the charity! This is just the start so look out for more events from us.
